In Pridiukhs, an open football festival for youths born in 2019 took place as a prize of Paralympic champion Oleg Lenya.
Eight teams participated in the football world: FC Chernihiv-2019, FC Chernihiv-2020, DYSH Konotop-2019, DYSH Konotop-2020, DYSH Pryluki-2019, DYSH Pryluki-2020, DYSH Varya-2019 and DYSH Yychna-2019.
At such a young age, the sporting result is of no value. What matters most is that very young boys and girls are taking their first steps in football, learning to play as a team, interacting with each other, gaining their first competitive experience, and falling in love with football.
The Chernihiv Oblast Football Association, at the invitation of the organizers, joined in hosting the festival by providing award-winning equipment and footballs for the participants.
We thank the organizers, coaches, parents, and everyone who created a genuine football holiday for the children. Such events help popularize football among the youngest and open up paths to future sporting achievements.
