More than 100 volunteers from 22 regions completed the first stage of the UAF Youth Leadership program.
In me took place a two-day children's football tournament "Cup of Independence - 2026"
In the tournament, a two-day children's football tournament "Cup of Independence — 2026" took place among young players born in 2015 and younger. Eight teams from Chernihiv Oblast and Kyiv Oblast participated in the competitions.
After the group stage, participants were determined for two final quarters — for the "Big" and "Small Cup."
The winner of the "Big Cup" was DYSH Menya. Second place went to Unity (Chernihiv), bronze went to KDYSH Slavutych, and fourth place — to DYSH Borozna.
In the battle for the "Small Cup," FC Pivnich (Chernihiv) won. Second place went to Time (Snovsk-1), third — Desna (Chernihiv), and fourth — Time (Snovsk-2).
Chernihiv Oblast Football Association, as usual, joined the organization of the "Cup of Independence — 2026," providing ceremonial awards for the winners. Deputy Head of Chernihiv Oblast Football Association Sergiy Dyachenko also attended the award ceremony.
All teams received souvenirs and snacks from the organizers, except for team awards. Organizers also recognized the best young football players in each team and the best players of the tournament by position.

And the most important thing — thank you to our defenders and defenders, thanks to whom Ukrainian children have the opportunity to step onto a football field, train, compete, and develop.
